You know my search methods, Watson

The trailer for Sherlock Holmes, starring Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law, was released this week well in advance of the movie’s opening date of December 25.  We do love our puzzle-solving investigators be they real or fictional, Mark Fuhrman or Harriet M. Welsch.

Naturally, we did a little investigating of our own, and discovered that Biography Resource Center has biographies on 191 private investigators and 44 detectives. Creators of famous P.I.s are also well represented, with 12 biographies about Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, the man behind Sherlock Holmes, and one each for Donald Bellisario and Glen Larson, who gifted “Magnum P.I.” and a fantastic mustache upon the world. Betcha didn’t know that Glen Larson was, once upon a time, a member of the Four Preps and even appeared with the band in the movie “Gidget.” These individuals can be found by doing a Biographical Facts Search on occupation, or an Advanced search using full-text or keyword.
